“The Internet Archaeologists” are an activist collective committed to unearthing and preserving human creativity and connection on the internet. They believe that the human invention that is the internet is part of our culture, and is worthy of saving and protecting from the surge of artificially generated content by AI and bots. The group finds lost sites, and stores blogs and forums. They advocate for funding and legislation to preserve independent and historic sites, and demand transparency from AI companies. The group breaks free from the endless scroll feeds and grabs attention through real world interventions and stunts.
